Life

Anne Graham Lotz calls divorce a living death.  I agree.  It's just really terrible.

The man who loved me left.

The One who loves me is here and loves me forever even before I was born.

Thank you, Jesus.

Zephaniah 3:17New International Version (NIV)

17 The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”

That grey house

A: we going to that grey house?
Me: no buddy it's stinky & it needs work (new floors, paint)

A:can we sleep there tonight?
Me: no buddy it's not ours yet.

A:is Jesus in that grey house?
Me:yes buddy he's all over that house.

Me: I gotta go to work buddy to make money.
A: to pay for that grey house?

Can you tell someone is itching to move??
I am too. It cannot come soon enough!!

What a year.

2013 was a year that had deep valleys & happy mountain tops. I'm glad it's over & we are looking forward to a happy and more stressfree 2014.

We are praying by early summer 2014 we will be in a new house either renting again or buying one. A house hopefully built in the 90s or 2000s with indoor laundry. Geez. And an open layout where I can see my peoples from the kitchen.

Austin started prek3 today and we are praying he will thrive in his new class. We've learned he needs a small class size, consistency, & needs a challenge. I'm excited about helping him trace his letter of the day this afternoon. We've really looked at the foods he eats & have taken out a lot of sugar, we make sure he gets lots of exercise & less TV. He's tall & skinny like the Boozer men. He wears size 4t & 10 shoe.

Khloe's my little sweet baby always with me mostly calm & just perfect.. She's getting up to eat once a night. She's eating great & we love her chubby legs & cheeks. She is wearing 3 month clothes. She & I sat in the hallway in church yesterday because she was being noisy sneezing, tooting, cooing. She was our happy part of 2013. God answered my prayers for a happy healthy baby girl.

If its not one thing it's another

We took Austin to his 3 year appointment today. The dr recommended we start speech therapy so we start that next Monday. Dr also recommended evaluating his development to make sure he's on track but that's not until December.  He also got a flu shot...no flu in this house...not with a new baby. A is going to mothers morning out 2 days a week. We want him to go more than 2 days but we'll take what we can get right now.

Baby girl was moving all around when we checked the heartbeat Wednesday. Dr said with everything going on they might schedule her to come before her Oct 27 due date. I had Braxton Hicks contractions all day on Tuesday for the first time in both pregnancies. Must get things put together & house straightened up for her arrival. We are thinking of naming her

Khloe Karolyne Boozer

Although her middle name might change...we'll see.

27 weeks

Whew!
I feel like baby girl is already big & there's 3ish more months to go. I have been working hard at home getting A ready for preschool (potty training) & big boy bed. He's done really well with both of those transitions! I have been cooking more - lots of crockpot meals & using our Brackin beef. We need to get things out of storage & sell some things to get rid of that unit. If we haven't used it in 2 yrs. we prob dont need it, right? Right. We have 3 generic brown wooden bookshelves for the taking if you know of anyone needing one or all 3.  Also a white refrigerator...

I decided to clean off our back porch this morning. I want it to be another play area for A & eating place for us. Pics are on fb & to come.

A finished up Mothers Morning Out last week & starts preschool August 21 which is also his birthday. Hoping he will thrive going 3 days a week.  We are practicing ABC's, 123's, colors, manners daily. He is covered in bug bites & has a scraped knee...very little boy looking these days. He plays loud, likes to throw & is attached to his Daddy the minute he gets home from work.

Yes, husband & Dad is home. Thank you Jesus.

A new week & prayers

Well...

We've got some news for you.

Austin's going to be a big brother in mid-October!

He will also start 3 year old preschool on his birthday as long as he's potty trained.

I asked him the day I went to the dr., "Austin do you want a brother or a sister?"  He plainly said, "Sister."  Same goes for Keith.

This early pregnancy is nothing like when I was pregnant with Austin.  I feel like I have 24/7 nausea and it will not go away.  I have this weird taste in my mouth.  I have to make myself eat but nothing sounds good.  Hoping this stage will pass soon.

I went to see the nurse last week and got 6 viles of blood drawn.  I sat down for the lady to take my blood and she kept putting viles inside this box so she would be ready.  She said I looked terrified and I said that's going to be a lot of blood.  I was already queasy so I prayed it went by fast and it did!  Keith and I will go March 14th (9more days!) to have an ultrasound.

Lots of excitement! Lots of questions!

Please start praying!

12~12~12 at 12:12p.m.

Today I'm taking a day off.
I had breakfast with my boy
and took him to school.
I hung out with my mom
and bought Christmas presents.
I'm trying to clear my head
and get some things done.
Hopefully I can find somewhere new
to work after the holidays.
Something with less stress,
no cops, no panic buttons, no referrals.
Just happy.

Monday

Someone decided they would try and steal my car last night.  Didn't work. Thank you Jesus.

I'm teaching Smudges today to 3rd graders at my elementary school where I was a 3rd grader.  Full circle.

Austin walked right in to school this morning.  We are so happy he likes school, is learning, and is enjoying himself!

K is giving a presentation to the faculty this afternoon.  Go hubby!

2 year appointment

We waited 20 minutes in the waiting room before going back.  They kept calling kids names and Austin wanted to go back every time.  He played with toys, he looked at fish, he tried to open the door, we had juice.  Twenty minutes later they called his name.  Thank the Lord I was out of ideas.

We got measurements and weight.

36 1/2 in. long 95%
30.6 lbs. 75%

We waited some more in the little room and it wasn't that bad.  They had this cubby he liked to climb in and we had pretzels and Annies fruit snacks.  We played "Where's Austin?"

The dr. said he looks great and is healthy.  He wants to see Austin in 6 months to check on his language skills.   He is comprehending things and is plenty smart.  The part we are working on is expressing his words.

This time last year school had just ended and we were enjoying our hot summer in TX.  (It was our first year we had to water the foundation.  Our backyard looked like a desert not that the grass was dead but there were holes in the dirt.)  K & I always thought it would be great to live closer to one set of parents especially now that A is here.  We knew we could not please both since they are 12 hours apart.  We were leaning toward the place where they keep it weird where K is from.  Right around this time we got a note from my mom telling us there was a position open for a Full-Time Philosophy professor in her area.  I had been working full-time as an elementary art teacher and K was adjunct, but not full-time.  He wanted to be full-time.  I really enjoyed my job.  I had my groove.  I knew my kids.  We were enjoying where we were living.  We had our favorite places to eat.

K applied for the job.  He interviewed for it and they offered it to him the week before he was supposed to start.  We packed up our house in a week. What we couldn't fit in the uhaul or in our cars we left in the garage.  Our first Sunday in AL,  A turned 1.

K started his job and I started mine as a mom to A.  It was hard.  I was supposed to start my 5th year teaching hispanic kids in DallasISD.  I couldn't really say I was excited to have moved because I so missed everything.

Many people here don't understand why I miss TX so much and why I wasn't that excited to be here. A lot of good things happened to me there. I got my master's degree, my teaching certificate, I met my love, I had a baby, I bought a house, We left friends and a great church, I got my first job that paid the bills and I LOVED.

Life has gotten better since we started Mother's Day Out, exercising, live our own place, and have somewhat of a routine.  We've been here 10 months and I still miss things about TX.  I was there 9 years - I should miss it.  It's 103 at the ballpark tonight in Arlington at 7p.m.  I do not miss that.

Monday night

Last night after FroYo my mom and I drove down to the farm to give my Aunt L her bday present. On the way there we found boy & girl twins walking down the sidewalk in their pj's looking too young to be outside by the street. My mom turned around and asked if they were ok. The little boy said, "Where's my daddy?" **Heartbreak** We got out of the car and the little boy pointed to where he lived (a big nice new house on the golf course). We went to the front door & rang the door bell. No one came. A few minutes later their Dad came around and couldn't believe his children got out the door. Sheesh.

Pride.

Bro. Ed, one of our ministers at Calvary, set K* and I up on a blind date way back in Feb. of 2005 when we were both at SWBTS in Fort Worth.  We owe it to him for our love story - him and Jesus of course.  Last Wednesday A and I went to family night supper at church.  We pay, wait in line, and I do my very best to get us supper with A on one hip, steering a tray, get food on the plate and grab a plastic fork.  I can never remember to get us napkins.  Anyhoo Bro.Ed held A while I was in line last Wednesday.  I watched him mingle around holding A.  I was happy to have a break, and it was neat to see our matchmaker holding my son.  This is my favorite part of the night...I caught a glimpse of Bro. Ed holding A and said with lots of pride to someone standing in line, "This is Austin Boozer." as if he had something to do with it. :)

*Bro. Ed was K's pastor in Austin before coming to our church here.
**If you click on SWBTS link it will take you to the place K & I had our first date.  If you click on the Fort Worth link it will take you to the place K proposed to me on the balcony in between the angels.

Friday.

Last night A spent the night with his L & G.

K and I went to FireHouse Pizza, the library and got frozen yogurt that we didn't have to share with a little one. Ha.  We walked out of the library last night and K said, "I think this book may change my life."  A book about German Philosophy.  Ha.

K got up this morning and I made coffee for him.  He headed off to play his favorite game and I picked up Mr. A.  He woke up early and ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel with L & G.

We got home and he is taking an early nap.  He's always worn out when he goes to L & G's house.

Laundry is done, Dishes are clean but need to be put up, Towels are ready to be folded.

Packages to K's parents, grandparents, and Winnetka are ready to be mailed.

Tomorrow we plan on going to the museum's family day and the BBQ Festival.  For K's sake I hope someone has really good brisket and sausage.  This TX boy is in dire need of brisket.  Thank the Lord for fun things to do here.  They are few and far between.

Speaking of things to do: A has Spring Break next week so I will be on the lookout for new, fun things to do with him.
