27 weeks

Whew!
I feel like baby girl is already big & there's 3ish more months to go. I have been working hard at home getting A ready for preschool (potty training) & big boy bed. He's done really well with both of those transitions! I have been cooking more - lots of crockpot meals & using our Brackin beef. We need to get things out of storage & sell some things to get rid of that unit. If we haven't used it in 2 yrs. we prob dont need it, right? Right. We have 3 generic brown wooden bookshelves for the taking if you know of anyone needing one or all 3.  Also a white refrigerator...

I decided to clean off our back porch this morning. I want it to be another play area for A & eating place for us. Pics are on fb & to come.

A finished up Mothers Morning Out last week & starts preschool August 21 which is also his birthday. Hoping he will thrive going 3 days a week.  We are practicing ABC's, 123's, colors, manners daily. He is covered in bug bites & has a scraped knee...very little boy looking these days. He plays loud, likes to throw & is attached to his Daddy the minute he gets home from work.

Yes, husband & Dad is home. Thank you Jesus.

Wet & Wild

I left A's car seat in the carport last night.  We woke up to rain this morning and around 9a.m. I remembered it was out there getting wet.  I brought it in, wiped it off and put it ontop of one of our vents.  Mama was not happy.

We had to get out of the house around 11.  A would have no more of playing in this house.  Wet carseat - with towels - we loaded up and dropped off the recycling.  We headed to the ROC to run off some energy.  I brought his zebra (pictures to come) and thought he would ride it on the walking track.

He did!

It was fun!

And then he didn't want to play with anymore balls so we went outside and rode the zebra all over our church's parking lot.

It's the little things.

Chiller & Exercise at McD's

This afternoon A and I went to McDonald's to check out their Indoor Playground.  I had a coupon for a free cherry berry chiller so I got one and it was - eh.  A walked around and checked things out.  He watched kids play for a while.  I helped him climb up the first winding plastic stair case and he went all the way up by himself!  My boys isn't even 2!  He found a friend up there and stayed at the top for a while...until I could not see him.  Then I climbed up the plastic staircase and helped him go through the tunnel.  I felt a little closterphobic, but could see the end and knew A was having fun.  He didn't want to go down the windy red slide of doom so we went down the blue stairs instead.  He found a friend on the bottom that was more his age and they yelled "No!" to each other a few times.  It was cute.  Who knew my knees would be so red and sore and my arms would be shaky from crawling around for an hour.

What day is it?

We saw the grandparents.

We went to the splash park.

"Are you tired, A?"  A nods his head yes.  First time he's done that!

He's got the no down really well.  Now it's yes.  Yes!!

Short nap + splash park = early bedtime!

A has had a huge appetite today.

Didn't know roly polies were called pill bugs.

Last week's Dinner

Breakfast - scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, cream of wheat with a sprinkling of brown sugar, biscuits, and watermelon

Tacos - Brackin ground beef, pico de gallo, salsa, guacamole, and crunchy tacos

Wednesday Night Dinner @ church for Little Man and me- BBQ, baked beans, coleslaw

Thursday K and I saw Hairspray at Wallace so we ate out - smoothies at Panera before - pizza at FireStone after

Friday we were at the beach and tried to eat with one of K's coworkers, but it was getting really late and A was ready for bed so we got a pizza at Mellow Mushroom instead.

Saturday was Savy's birthday at McDonald's.  I had a frappe that my stomach didn't like so I didn't eat much after that. K had chicken nuggets, fries and a drink and A had his first happy meal with chicken mcnuggets.

Sunday we were back home. On Sundays we usually eat cereal, yogurt, etc.

Super Why and The Super Readers

A loves that show.  He watches it almost every morning.

This morning he slept later and watched the end of Super Why, ate breakfast and dropped him off at school.  Hoping today will be a better day than Monday.  I am picking up the house & going to the half price kids sale.  Pick up A, he takes a nap.  Free dinner at church tonight and Francis Chan Bible Study after dinner.  Sounds like a good day!!

The one where we have an 11 hour day.

K's gone from 8-7 today and no Mother's Morning Out due to President's Day..Yay!

8a.m. in the high chair in the kitchen eating breakfast while Mom unloads, loads dishes and makes coffee - all smiles - with my San Antonio, Texas shirt on!

9a.m. Watching Super Why Guy on Sprout and playing in my exersaucer

10a.m. playing in his room - This is his Valentine's Puppy from G & Lecee.  It sings and it's ears go up and down!

11a.m. playing at the ROC - he likes to watch if there is anyone playing basketball.  He also likes to get the basketballs and bounce them.  He is pretty much done here playing on the bleachers.

12p.m. Eating at Longhorn with G & Lecee - Thankfully, A usually does well in restaurants.  When it gets close to his nap time like today, he gets a little rowdy.  He squealed a few times, but today was a good day. Thanks for lunch, G!

1p.m. Time to sit down and fold laundry while Little Man is sleeping
Did I mention I haven't had a Dr. Pepper in 3 days? Go me.
2p.m. Take a shower. Do more laundry.
3 & 4p.m. A wakes up, plays, has a snack

5p.m. Walmart Run for fruit, veggies, yogurt & cereal

6p.m. Hanging out with Wells and A before I fix dinner. Thanks Aunt Dar for the lamp!

7p.m. Dad's home and tickling has begun!  What a long day! I had fun with you, Little A! I'm going to bed!

The one where we love Olive Garden.

K loved it first.  Olive Garden was his favorite so we went there a lot in Dallas.  He is the one that said it's ok just to get salad and breadsticks.  Yum.  There was one close to my school and it was never really crowded.  I always went to Macaroni Grill growing up, but there never seems to be one close.  We went for K's birthday a few weeks ago, and went Sunday after our amazing worship service.  Yum.

The one about our ups and downs.

This morning I woke up rested and happy.

A slept 13 hours last night and I think he was rested, too!

I found out one of our friends from Inglewood passed away last night in a car accident.

She has a 6 year old daughter and husband left behind while she is now in Heaven.

I cried on the way to Zumba.

Zumba was fun and crowded - different room, smaller room, but fun!

I went to Publix and got us some goodies for the week.

I stocked up on granola bars and yogurt.

I had leftover Moe's for lunch.

A had a good day at MMO - he made a cute peanut picture and veteran's day card.

He's asleep now - has too much fun to nap at MMO.

Tomorrow we're going to the fair - my mom and A get in free!

Denai's passing has really changed my perspective on things.

Still wish we lived closer to each of our families...now if we could just work that one out...
