I went home this weekend and it was wonderful.
I have somehow gained a tiney fear of flying. But I am not as anxious on the plane than I am on the way to the airport and waiting in the airport. So on the way to DFW I thought I might lose it in Keith's black truck. Thank the Lord I didn't and was fine when I got to the airport. Thanks Keith for taking me to the airport while it was still dark. I had to be there at 6a.m.
I flew in to Montgomery in time to change into my 'tea party' dress, and hang out with Lydia and the rest of the bridesmaids. After some strawberry hot tea and curd my mom picked me up from the English Tea room with my 5 month old baby cousin Christopher whom I have never seen before this weekend. Talk about a miracle...this child is. I fell in love this weekend. This beautiful baby stole my heart. He's so precious and adorable. He has the biggest blue eyes. I wanted to take him back with me. I can't wait to post pictures so you can see him.
We went to church on Sunday and then headed down to the beach. Christopher had never seen the beach before. We took him down to the water and took his picture. After that we went to see my newly married brother and his wife Lindsey. They have a cute condo in Destin.
After dinner with my parents, brother and sis-in-law, and Christopher I went to the airport and flew back to good ole Ft. Worth. It is always hard leaving with my parents waving bye to me at security checkpoint - especially with Christopher in my mom's arms, but Keith was waiting on me on the other end. It was good to see him again.
I think the Lord gives me these times to go home because He knows I need a break from Texas from time to time. It was well worth it.
