27 weeks

Whew!
I feel like baby girl is already big & there's 3ish more months to go. I have been working hard at home getting A ready for preschool (potty training) & big boy bed. He's done really well with both of those transitions! I have been cooking more - lots of crockpot meals & using our Brackin beef. We need to get things out of storage & sell some things to get rid of that unit. If we haven't used it in 2 yrs. we prob dont need it, right? Right. We have 3 generic brown wooden bookshelves for the taking if you know of anyone needing one or all 3.  Also a white refrigerator...

I decided to clean off our back porch this morning. I want it to be another play area for A & eating place for us. Pics are on fb & to come.

A finished up Mothers Morning Out last week & starts preschool August 21 which is also his birthday. Hoping he will thrive going 3 days a week.  We are practicing ABC's, 123's, colors, manners daily. He is covered in bug bites & has a scraped knee...very little boy looking these days. He plays loud, likes to throw & is attached to his Daddy the minute he gets home from work.

Yes, husband & Dad is home. Thank you Jesus.

Tuesday

Someone went to sleep late last night and

Someone woke up early this morning

I think he had a bad dream.

What could I do but get in bed with him

And hope we could both go back to sleep.

But sleep didn't come

It was time to get our day started

K likes to stay in bed a few minutes later on Saturday mornings.  Austin likes to go in there when K's laying down and say, "Hey."  This morning when it was time for breakfast Austin said, "No! Dada! That way!"  And of course K had to get up.

This morning after breakfast cartoons we made a craft with sticky stars.  He did a really great job & we talked about the colors.  He LOVES saying blue and practiced yellow, black, red, white & brown.

Wednesday

Heard a student say today in the classroom, "Is Columbus a girl?"  Ha!

Had a good day subbing 8th grade
Picked up birthday goodies for K.
Picked up A.
Made K a cake.

It's been a fun day!

Things are good.

Austin is loving school and learning new things everyday.

K is a great provider, hubby, dad & Philosophy professor. (Who knew he has one of the low stress jobs seen on Yahoo?!)

I am waiting for my job at the Museum to start. You can read about it here.   I'm also on the sub list but that's inconsistent so in the mean time I am studying for the first test to be certified in Alabama.  I'm taking it Saturday @ 1.  I'm also getting this rental house to look more like our home and taking care of my boys.

Date Night with Carolers

K & I went to eat at Olive Garden last night.  K ate spaghetti & meatballs as fast as I could eat half of my chicken parmesean.  It was yummy.  There was a waitress close to us 8 months pregnant.  I prayed for her back, legs and feet.  We were gobbling up our salad and some women in a line started walking toward the door. 

They were singing.

They were singing Christmas carols as they were walking past us.

Bahahaha

Then we went to Barnes & Noble and got each other a book.

After naptime yesterday we went to the park, L&G's house, Panera, and watched Finding Nemo together.

This morning we went to Hardee's and got ourselves some cinnamon raisin biscuits.

It's about 11a.m. and I'll say it's about time to get out of this house.

Toddler is crazy and making me crazy, too.

Hubby's Lunch Day 2

• Trail mix, no m&m's

I had a whirlwind morning taking care of our dogs.  Since we've moved to AL our relationship with our dogs has been different.  Now A is thrown into the mix, we're in a different house, etc...we're trying to get back to our family of 5.  Whew. 

And then someone woke up from his nap way too EARLY:

So I made a palet for him and he's watching a movie.

This week

This week I'm going to pack hubby's lunch everyday with snacks and breakfast thrown in.  He's the kind of guy that would eat it all before lunch so I'm hoping that won't happen because he's there pretty late.  He had a full bag this morning.  Here's what I packed:

• Watermelon chunks
• Chobani blueberry yogurt
• Chicken noodle soup
• Trail Mix: m&m's, pretzels, yogurt raisins, almonds
• Pnut butter crackers

A and I are also trying to cut the TV watching and read more books, practice letters and numbers, etc.

Tuesday

We are tired today.
K's air conditioning is not working in his building.
He is coughing and congested so it works that his classes are short today.
A & I played this morning.
We ran some errands:
       Recycling, clothes to thrift store, library
We went to PetSmart & Old Navy
I wanted to buy some shorts but I didn't.  Maybe tomorrow.
Now it's lunch & A's favorite movie Brer Rabbit.

We went to Atlanta.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary #6 in Atlanta, GA.
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt.  Thanks to Priceline we got a room for $65.  So nice!
We saw the Braves play the Dodgers and had great seats!
We went to the Congress building, CNN, Olympic Park, Georgia Tech.
We slept LATE!!

So this is us the night before our wedding.
That's John, Keith's brother, the best man.
My sister-in-law Lindsey is on the left.  The choir is in the back.
Tonight we went to church and heard all about the mission trips to NY, Guatemala & China.
We dropped off A and went out to eat.
We got frozen yogurt and Roberta Flack was playing over the speakers.

We met in 2005 at seminary.
Our minister who set us up told us to get to know each other for all 4 seasons.
We got engaged in 2006 between angels. We went to a Roberta Flack concert.
Got married summer of 2006.
We lived, worked, & loved being in TX until 2011.
Here we are back again where we got married.

Our 1 year anniversary we went to Oklahoma City and brought home Khoe
Our 2 year anniversary we celebrated in Austin and then I got my job teaching in Dallas!
Our 3 year anniversary we took a trip to San Francisco
4 year anniversary we were waiting on Little A to come -
                 he was due on the 12th but came on the 21st!
5 year anniversary we were packing up and heading to our new home down South
                 We went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings with our friends, the Ruarks.
To celebrate our 6 year anniversary we are heading north to see our first Braves game together
                and explore the big city!
