If its not one thing it's another

We took Austin to his 3 year appointment today. The dr recommended we start speech therapy so we start that next Monday. Dr also recommended evaluating his development to make sure he's on track but that's not until December.  He also got a flu shot...no flu in this house...not with a new baby. A is going to mothers morning out 2 days a week. We want him to go more than 2 days but we'll take what we can get right now.

Baby girl was moving all around when we checked the heartbeat Wednesday. Dr said with everything going on they might schedule her to come before her Oct 27 due date. I had Braxton Hicks contractions all day on Tuesday for the first time in both pregnancies. Must get things put together & house straightened up for her arrival. We are thinking of naming her

Khloe Karolyne Boozer

Although her middle name might change...we'll see.

Things change

As excited as we were last week for Austin to start preschool his teacher & principal think he needs to start next year.  He turned 3 the first day of school and a lot of kids in his class are close to turning 4. We don't want school to be frustrating for him so we've decided to wait - find a mothers morning out group - and do 3 yr old preschool next year when he is older. Friday when his principal called we were so disappointed, but today we feel at peace about it. We have him on the waiting list several places - praying the right place works out soon so he can socialize.

Baby girl Boozer is 31 weeks! 9 more weeks & I need to get on the ball with her nursery. She is moving like crazy.

Baby Girl

Baby Girl Boozer is being monitored very closely and looks healthy!
Turns out K does have the antigens & I have antibodies that could possibly make Baby Girl anemic.  It feels great to have drs monitoring and I love to see her face, feet, ribs, hands on the ultrasound machine. She is moving a lot and can see my stomach move from the outside now.  I have an appointment next week, Aug. 30, then another ultrasound September 3rd.  Prayers appreciated!

27 weeks

Whew!
I feel like baby girl is already big & there's 3ish more months to go. I have been working hard at home getting A ready for preschool (potty training) & big boy bed. He's done really well with both of those transitions! I have been cooking more - lots of crockpot meals & using our Brackin beef. We need to get things out of storage & sell some things to get rid of that unit. If we haven't used it in 2 yrs. we prob dont need it, right? Right. We have 3 generic brown wooden bookshelves for the taking if you know of anyone needing one or all 3.  Also a white refrigerator...

I decided to clean off our back porch this morning. I want it to be another play area for A & eating place for us. Pics are on fb & to come.

A finished up Mothers Morning Out last week & starts preschool August 21 which is also his birthday. Hoping he will thrive going 3 days a week.  We are practicing ABC's, 123's, colors, manners daily. He is covered in bug bites & has a scraped knee...very little boy looking these days. He plays loud, likes to throw & is attached to his Daddy the minute he gets home from work.

Yes, husband & Dad is home. Thank you Jesus.

Things and such

At the library sitting on the Indian statue
After playing with the trains and puzzles

A storm knocked down half of our back fence last week.

My sunflowers are growing!

Baby girl is growing and we are thinking about names.
Maybe something that starts with K?
Austin got to hear baby sister's hearbeat at the dr.
My mom did, too.

Potty training is going really well - thank you Jesus!!

Baby Update

How Far Along: 23 weeks

Maternity Clothes: yes - mostly

Best Moment this week: Keith got to feel the baby move, got a few things for the baby at garage sales - boppy, clothes

Gender: It’s a Girl!

Movement: Lots of moving mostly in the afternoon - think I feel hiccups too

Food Craving: None, really

What I miss: Sleeping on my back, my old clothes, cooler weather, a pool close by, being skinny

Sleep: pretty good!, trips to the bathroom, catnap if Austin naps during the day

What I am looking forward to: Another fun week with Austin - movies, story time, church

Belly Button: It’s still in, but it’s getting flat!

Symptoms: tired, hungry, belly's growing, fingers are swelling - took off my engagement ring this time so I won't have to get it cut off like my wedding band...feels weird bc it is always on.

Sickness Prayer and Lots of It

Well Austin has Strep Throat, but the good thing is he's on the tail end of it - High fever Sun-Weds. then a rash today.  Antibiotics should kick it soon.  He's such a sweet boy.

We are heading out soon to The Weekend to Remember Conference.  It'll be at a nice hotel in a big city just praying God works a miracle.

Pray Pray Pray!

I went with my friend Angela to hear Chonda Pierce last night.  She was great!  We went to the lady's room at the very end and it happened to be where Chonda was taking pictures.  I was 3rd in line!

Photo: What a fun night!

Tuesday

I am 11 weeks and have an appointment this afternoon.
This is around the time we first saw Austin on the ultrasound.
He was tiny but we could see his arms, legs and body.
I am still taking zofran for nausea but I can tell it has eased up so I'm not taking it as much.
I try not to let myself get hungry so it feels like I'm eating all the time.
I am eating more fruit and lots of orange juice.

I have an ultrasound scheduled for the second week of May, but I'll only be 15 or 16 weeks.  Not sure if the dr. will be able to tell the gender that early.  I go to a high risk dr. in June and they will probably do an ultrasound there.

Keith is hoping for a girl.  To quote him, "There better not be a penis in there, but you know there is."  Austin's going to be a sweet big brother so whether he says he wants a sister or brother, he's going to be a great one.

News!

The circle is the yolk sac that will go away when baby gets bigger.
Our little Butter Bean has a heartbeat! 155bpm
Baby is measuring 7 weeks & 4days as of 3/14/13
Expected due date October 27th
First appointment went well.  We like our dr.
More bloodwork done & talked about preventing
things from happening that happened after Austin was born.

Here is a video of ButterBean's heartbeat.

This is Austin's first ultrasound just to compare.
His first was at 10 wks & could see head, body, hands, feet.

Monday

Well.

I went to my regular dr. today and got more bloodwork done for my thyroid.  He said he will either up my medicine or not.  I'll find out tomorrow.  They had to up my medicine when I was pregnant with Austin.

Zofran is helping but nausea is still there.  Nothing sounds good, not craving anything.  When something sounds good I'll eat it and trying to eat all throughout the day.

We have an ultrasound Thursday and can't wait to post a pic of it to show you.

We had chicken pot pie for dinner tonight.

Austin took an itty bitty nap today and does not want to go to bed tonight.  What's up with that?  Time change?

Happy Monday!

Happy Friday

This is my 1201st post!

Since I've been at home with morning sickness most of the week I've been reading and finished this one in about a day.

Finally & Forever (Katie Weldon Series)
You can find it here.  I've read the first 3 books in the series in TX and this is the 4th.
Setting is in Africa...easy read...loved it.

In other news Zofran is working and making me feel better.  Here we are before bed last night without a stomach ache....yay!

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Well...

I am 8 weeks pregnant tomorrow.
I have to say this one is completely different than with Austin.
I'm not sure how I could teach 850 students with the kind of nausea I have right now.
I am very thankful for Keith & that he works hard for us.
I am thankful for my mom who got me out of the house today and brought over groceries.

We are trying our hardest to potty train Austin.
He's trying his hardest to not tee tee or poo poo in the potty lately.

It will come.
Every morning when we are walking to school I say,
"When you can tee tee in the potty you can go to the big school for PreSchool."

My dr. called in Zofran for me today.
I'm going to take my first half pill this afternoon.
I hope it doesn't make me feel weird.
I hope it takes away the terrible nausea I have.

One week and we will have an ultrasound!

Happy Thursday!

She Let Me.

This is how we told my mom.
Austin wore his big brother shirt.
She didn't notice it at all.
We told her to look at Austin's shirt and then you can see what happened after!
Ha.
I'll be 8 weeks on Friday.

A new week & prayers

Well...

We've got some news for you.

Austin's going to be a big brother in mid-October!

He will also start 3 year old preschool on his birthday as long as he's potty trained.

I asked him the day I went to the dr., "Austin do you want a brother or a sister?"  He plainly said, "Sister."  Same goes for Keith.

This early pregnancy is nothing like when I was pregnant with Austin.  I feel like I have 24/7 nausea and it will not go away.  I have this weird taste in my mouth.  I have to make myself eat but nothing sounds good.  Hoping this stage will pass soon.

I went to see the nurse last week and got 6 viles of blood drawn.  I sat down for the lady to take my blood and she kept putting viles inside this box so she would be ready.  She said I looked terrified and I said that's going to be a lot of blood.  I was already queasy so I prayed it went by fast and it did!  Keith and I will go March 14th (9more days!) to have an ultrasound.

Lots of excitement! Lots of questions!

Please start praying!
