This little guy

This little guy made me a Mama.

He and I are both feeling the frustration of our new life.

I love him.

He is avoiding nap this week.

I took all of his toys out of his room so he will know his room is for sleep.

His new tactic to avoiding sleep is telling me "I need to go poo poo.  I need to go tt."

Even if he's already gone.

Yesterday - all during nap time - every 15 min, "Mama, I need to go poo poo. I need to go tt."
Ugh.

I think when he starts sleeping late (in about 10 years) I'm going to wake him up at 7am and tell him I need to go tt.

Then I'll wake him up at 8am and tell him I need to go poo poo.

Just kidding.

He'll understand when he has kids of his own.

This weekend we are celebrating July 4th the way it should be celebrated.

I can't wait!

He's 3!

A woke up today a 3 year old!
I made him breakfast - milk, bananas and a surprise doughnut (that he didn't eat)
He had balloons waiting for him & lots of hugs and kisses.
We got ready for school in time, Lecee came with us for pictures and walk to school.
He walked in with his friends Sara & Ella.
He was  so excited to see his teacher and classroom.
I think he kind of looked at me thinking, "You're leaving me?" but that was only a split second because he saw a jar of M&M's and asked his teacher if he could have some.
I picked him up in the car line and he was sweaty & happy.  He immediatly took off his shoes and we headed home for birthday lunch with Ian.  He also tt'd in the potty. Yay!
He ate a small lunch, played and watched The Jungle Book Movie with Ian.  He took a much needed nap then opened presents from my parents and we ate dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  They gave us free cake & ice cream (that he didn't eat).  Dad gave him a bath and now he's in bed.  It's been a great day!

Thursday & Friday

 

Thursday I went to MOPS - (Mothers of Preschoolers) from 930-1130.
We had a Spa Day with manicures, massages, make up, and good food.
Everyone also left with a prize.  I wanted to put all my tickets in the maid service, but I could only put one ticket in there.
I won 3 hours of babysitting & $20 to Moe's.  Not bad!
They fixed us a to-go lunch and I ate that later because I was so full from the breakfast they gave us.
I cleaned out my car and moved Austin's carseat to the side to make it easier to put him in.  He's 32 pounds so I needed to make it easier for both of us.

K had honor society induction Thurs. night so Austin and I had a ChickFilA picnic at home, played, had a bath, watched Mater and went to bed.  They're fruit cup was tasty!


This morning (Fri) Austin got up early.  I changed his diaper and put him in bed with us.  I think he fell asleep for about 10 minutes then we were up getting ready and eating breakfast.  K is working on taxes and playing golf with my dad.  I am working on scheduling Smudges for most of April and part of May.  I have 5 schools where I teach an art lesson to the 3rd grade classes.

We are excited about seeing my brother and his family this weekend.  We are celebrating Savy's 4th birthday and my cousin's wedding Saturday.

Spring Break 2013

K and I celebrated his spring break by going to the beach.  A got to stay with his Lecee & G.

Tuesday we had a picnic dinner on the beach and I found some shells.

Wednesday I spent the afternoon with Aunt Darlyne and K got to play at a very nice golf course.  We had lunch and got our nails done then went out to eat with our boys.  YUM!  It was a fun day!  We ate at Fatty Patty's for Lunch and Saltwater Grill for Dinner.

Thursday we didn't do much of anything.  We ordered breakfast from Fatty Patty's then ordered dinner from Billy's and watched basketball in between.

Friday we got up and drove to Destin to get K fitted for a tux.  I tried on some dresses, too.

Then we drove home & got to see our little guy!

We missed him so much, but enjoyed sleeping late.

Austin wore his big brother shirt.

She didn't notice it at all.

We told her to look at Austin's shirt and then you can see what happened after!

I'll be 8 weeks on Friday.

He's 2.5!

He's 2 1/2.  Two and a half!  Half way to 3!

Love Day

I made cinnamon rolls for my boys this morning.

I got out of bed before either of them.

K had cinnamon rolls and coffee in bed.

Austin got a new outfit and a special breakfast.

He had a fun party at school.

He had a bite of everything, but really ate about 25 M&M's.

After the party I went to MOPS and we made necklaces and ate food with chocolate fondue.

Then I went out to eat with my parents - had a small salad.

I came home and changed then entered more bankruptcy claims at my Dad's office.

I picked up Austin & he had gift bags from 11 other kids in his class.

We'll be eating candy for a while.

K says I'll have flowers tomorrow.  Can't wait!

Tomorrow?  Tomorrow's not Valentine's day.

Always get your wife something on Valentines day.  Always.

We are watching Nemo tonight and glad tomorrow's Friday.

Our weekend at the beach

The party was too cute. 

This weekend we went to the beach to celebrate Kayde's 1st birthday!  Friday night we drove straight to one of our favorite restaurants (Guadalajara) because we were hungry!!

This was my view!  Ha.  The food was yummy.  We ate lots of chips and salsa.  It was more authentic Mexican food and the atmosphere made us feel like we were back in Texas.

We weren't brave enough this morning to walk on the beach.  It was cold!


We drove back this afternoon after the party.  Austin doesn't eat much at parties.  He's more interested in playing.  Here's his dinner tonight.

At the beginning of dinner it was all in the green bowl.  He used a spoon and fork.  Then he got full and dumped it all out.  We picked it up together and all is well.

Happy February!

Austin celebrated February 1st by saying, "Love you!" to me after I tucked him into bed.  It only took 2 years and 5 months for him to say those words.  So we kept saying it.
