Our week

I met my friends from life group at Panera Thursday night. I got a free smoothie, a small Mac & cheese, & a scone for breakfast. Yummy. Then I picked up the kids & went to bed. I was asleep before 8pm.

Wednesday night austin went to the clubhouse, Khloe to the nursery  & I went to DivorceCare. Wednesday nights everyone is tired & the trash can is waiting for me to take it out to the street even in my pajamas. The trash men come at 6am on Thursday. Ugh.

Friday Austin comes home from an afternoon with his dad & gets a bath. My parents bring us BBQ & Austin eats a bite of BBQ but eats 4 go-gurts instead. Then he got a stomach ache.

Saturday Austin got up before the sun but went back to bed until 7. After a morning with his dad he took a long nap.  Khloe & I got lots of chores done at home. We played until bedtime.

Sunday Austin put a puzzle together on the kitchen floor while I ironed our clothes. Khloe wished she could be crawling around, but played in her crib until I was done ironing. Church was great. Mom made another amazing lunch. Austin didn't nap so we all went to Sears & Lowes to look at appliances for 'the grey house'.  Austin requested Pizza Hut so we had breadsticks & a half pepperoni half sausage pizza for dinner. Then we did bath time, read a book & early to bed.


My life is wild I tell ya.

Loud noises

I put Austin down for a nap a few minutes ago.
Then I kept hearing loud noises coming from his room.
I went to check on him
And he was doing somersaults in his bed.
Somersaults!

This morning I went shopping for more professional shirts to wear during the week.
Don't think my Dallas Cowboys or Texas Longhorn shirts are going to cut it.
I found one, but I can't find a picture of it.
I think this one's cute

But I didn't get it....because it didn't pass the "can I wear it to teach in, work in" test.

I got Austin striped pj's you can find here with my $10 that came in the mail. That made them about $3.50...and some cute $1 socks.

Wednesday

This morning I treated myself to a Skinny Vanilla Latte & a blueberry muffin at Starbucks in Target.
I also got a sparkly tank top on sale.
I got things ready for Arty Pants.
I hope little ones and their parents come because we have cute things to make!
A & I went to the playground for a few minutes after MMO because the weather is so nice.
Hoping  for a good nap for him then it's church time.
Looking forward the the Finale of Big Brother 14 tonight!

Yesterday I turned in my paperwork to get certified in AL.
I also applied for a job, but that's nothing new.
I've applied for many 'o job in my town's school system and nothing.
Crickets. Beuller. 
Hello? Don't they know I was a fun, great art teacher who loves teaching? Hello? Anybody?
Yeah...We'll see.

Tuesday

We are tired today.
K's air conditioning is not working in his building.
He is coughing and congested so it works that his classes are short today.
A & I played this morning.
We ran some errands:
       Recycling, clothes to thrift store, library
We went to PetSmart & Old Navy
I wanted to buy some shorts but I didn't.  Maybe tomorrow.
Now it's lunch & A's favorite movie Brer Rabbit.

Little Man got some new clothes at the half price Kid's Market last weekend. Lookin' pretty cute in that orange sweater!

He also loves to go up to the church and play in the gym. That's also his favorite time at school.  Cutie!

The one about Athenos Yogurt.

This morning A and I went to drop off K's watch to get a new battery.  It stops during the night and he wakes up to a watch that says 3:45.  The jewelry store didn't open until 10 and it was right around 9 when we got there.  We went to Publix and got some things for dinner and such.  I picked up some Athenos Blueberry Yogurt to try because it was the cheapest Greek yogurt to be found - $1. We got home from Publix, let A play, put away groceries, and then I tried it.  It was tasty, but you've got to mix up the blueberry with the yogurt!  The yogurt isn't very tasty by itself, but really yummy with the blueberry mixed in.

Kudos Athenos you've won me over. I like it better than Chobani.

Hello Me Time

The one about our life right now.

• We have been here for 5 weeks now.
• My dad asked me yesterday what I missed the most about Texas and I couldn't answer him.  I miss it all.
• I think I miss it more than K and he's from TX.
• I'm trying to find a balance between having worked for 4 years as an art teacher of 850 and now as a mama and teacher of 1.
• We've been looking into Mother's Day Out for A, but nothing has worked out yet.
• This week has been great because A and I have found 2 places we would like to visit regularly - the botanical gardens and a huge playground close to our house.
• K and I were talking about how nice it is to not have to leave the house by 7 every morning.
• We are kind of getting impatient about our house not selling, but then realized it's only been a month.
• I got a pocket dress on sale at Kohl's yesterday for $12.  My grandmother let me use her $10 card that came in the mail.
• K and I are going to Troy's first home game tomorrow and I'm excited although I don't know what I'm going to wear.
• I want to go to Louie Giglio's church since we're so close to Atlanta.
• Happy First Day of Fall - can't wait to wear boots!

The one about Saturday.

So K and I went to breakfast with my dad this morning. My mom and A stayed home. We went to Ray's and I got french toast with bacon. It looked like I could've made it myself at home, but the point is I didn't and I wanted something sweet. I put some syrup on it, and it was delicious. It didn't compare to Another Broken Egg's Cinnamon Roll French Toast. I probably shouldn't get that again or else I might be 300 pounds.

My mom, A, and I walked up the street to a garage sale that apparently had really good stuff at 6 this morning. Almost everything was gone. We weren't satisfied so we went to Best Buy's 'garage sale' and all they had were snuggies and ear buds.

I've been wanting to get rid of my old lady white hair so we went to Sally's on the way home. I got semi-permenant hair color and I'll let you know how that goes.

We had to race home because Bama was about the kick off and A was taking a nap. There is no disturbing Steve Brackin when Bama is on. We got home in time for us to get A up and now he's still plundering through the changing table.

This is what I missed when I lived in TX.

Today I had lunch with my mom, Aunt Dar, my grandmother Dottie and A at Longhorn. (Why don't they have those in TX?) Then my mom and I went shopping. I found Chobani Champions yogurt for A at Sams, got some Dr. Pepper, a baby gift for baby Senn, and diapers for A. I finally found a Maxi dress that looks OK on me and it didn't cost a fortune. We wore A out and now he's asleep in the pack n play in my room. Love these days.

Cashed in coins my dad saves for me & got a $51 Old Navy gift card $51 Lowe's Gift Card.

Took 15 books to half priced books got $5.25 for them.

Took the $5.25 and got chick fil a for lunch.

Had to wait a while for a cookie and I got it free!

Nothing purchased but looked at Old Navy and Target.

The one where I've lost my camera cord.

Since we came back from AL my camera cord for the computer has been MIA. Here are a few pics from my phone. Friday we decided to go to Olive Garden. It was yummy and we thought we were going at a slow, less crowded time - 2/3ish. Packed with people. What's the deal? A sat by his dad because K thought he wanted to have a view of the restaurant. He loved sitting there and squealed the whole time. K covered up A's mouth about 10 times. He sampled some of our breadsticks, too.

I went to Sam's this week and looked at the clothes section. They had these shortalls for $2.81. I couldn't pass it up so fortunately I found his 18months size. He wore it today - we went to Matt's to eat and then walked around the shops. Pretty cute!

The one about the pool.

Rudy and Ruth live in an apartment in FW. They have a nice pool steps from their door. We went there for the 2nd time today. We celebrated memorial day over there and hung out today. I really wanted to get a waterproof camera for our swimming festivities. A and K are so cute in the pool. We stopped at CVS to get that camera and they were a wopping $17 a piece for 27 pictures. $17? Are you serious? I said no so we picked up watermelon and drove down the road to the Kebreau's. It was a great day...

The one about the weekend.

Friday night we had a hot date at Pizziolo's then Walmart. It was fun. Really.

It took forever to get a slice of pizza, but we got free drinks out of it. We went to Walmart and apparently A was really hot in the car. We had to take his clothes off and then cover him up a little bit while we got a few things at Wally World...very classy...at least he's cute.

Saturday we went to The Brass Bean then the library. A gave me this smile while I was looking at a magazine. Love him.

Thanks to my dad's yearly change collection we got some cute clothes at Old Navy yesterday. A got a new swimsuit, K got new shorts, and I got a dress, skirt and a shirt. We're ready for summer!

The one with fun.

Last night K took me to Krispy Kreme. We went inside and got a hot doughnut. It was soooo good. We decided since we'll sleep past breakfast anyway we'll just wake up and go eat Matt's in Cedar Hill. Yum. We shopped around - Michaels to find a baby book, Maternity store, and Sports Authority. After we walked off our lunch we headed over to get a blizzard. Unfortunately everyone decided to get a blizzard when we did, and they only had 3 people working - one for the drive thru, one for the restaurant, and one cook. It took us about 45 minutes to get a small & a medium blizzard. AND it was warm in Dairy Queen. Did I mention its in the 100's right now? This girl got in the car, turned up the AC while K waited for our blizzards. Sweet man. Now we are home, in our AC, and probably won't leave the house unless we have to. It's a sauna out there.
