I met my friends from life group at Panera Thursday night. I got a free smoothie, a small Mac & cheese, & a scone for breakfast. Yummy. Then I picked up the kids & went to bed. I was asleep before 8pm.
Wednesday night austin went to the clubhouse, Khloe to the nursery & I went to DivorceCare. Wednesday nights everyone is tired & the trash can is waiting for me to take it out to the street even in my pajamas. The trash men come at 6am on Thursday. Ugh.
Friday Austin comes home from an afternoon with his dad & gets a bath. My parents bring us BBQ & Austin eats a bite of BBQ but eats 4 go-gurts instead. Then he got a stomach ache.
Saturday Austin got up before the sun but went back to bed until 7. After a morning with his dad he took a long nap. Khloe & I got lots of chores done at home. We played until bedtime.
Sunday Austin put a puzzle together on the kitchen floor while I ironed our clothes. Khloe wished she could be crawling around, but played in her crib until I was done ironing. Church was great. Mom made another amazing lunch. Austin didn't nap so we all went to Sears & Lowes to look at appliances for 'the grey house'. Austin requested Pizza Hut so we had breadsticks & a half pepperoni half sausage pizza for dinner. Then we did bath time, read a book & early to bed.
My life is wild I tell ya.

What a year.
2013 was a year that had deep valleys & happy mountain tops. I'm glad it's over & we are looking forward to a happy and more stressfree 2014.
We are praying by early summer 2014 we will be in a new house either renting again or buying one. A house hopefully built in the 90s or 2000s with indoor laundry. Geez. And an open layout where I can see my peoples from the kitchen.
Austin started prek3 today and we are praying he will thrive in his new class. We've learned he needs a small class size, consistency, & needs a challenge. I'm excited about helping him trace his letter of the day this afternoon. We've really looked at the foods he eats & have taken out a lot of sugar, we make sure he gets lots of exercise & less TV. He's tall & skinny like the Boozer men. He wears size 4t & 10 shoe.
Khloe's my little sweet baby always with me mostly calm & just perfect.. She's getting up to eat once a night. She's eating great & we love her chubby legs & cheeks. She is wearing 3 month clothes. She & I sat in the hallway in church yesterday because she was being noisy sneezing, tooting, cooing. She was our happy part of 2013. God answered my prayers for a happy healthy baby girl.

Join me?
When I was 12 years old a beauty queen came to my church and spoke. She told us she started praying for her future mate when she was young and it was very important that we pray too. I started praying for Keith when I was that young. I didn't know who he was, but I knew it was important to pray for him. I didn't know where I was going to meet him or what he looked like but I knew God did. Praying continued through high school, college and seminary until one day when I was home for Christmas Jana Wright told me about this tall, dark, handsome guy who was just starting seminary. What a recommendation from Ed & Jana Wright! I met him and I kept praying. I felt like God was answering my prayers for a future mate in Keith.
20 years of praying - 1993 to 2013 and it hasn't stopped although right now it's a different kind of prayer. Pleading, asking, pleading, relentless talking to God about my mate. My mate that I've been praying for for 20 years...I will not give up.

Lately
Happy Monday!
It's raining today.
We're having potato soup for dinner.
We had life group last night.
Keith ate himself silly with hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill.
We also shared a piece of homemade cheesecake & listened to stories.
Austin took a long Sunday nap.
I had to go in his room and get him up to take him to Lecee's before LifeGroup.
He was awake and laying down.
He slept late this morning, too.
I think he likes sleeping in a dark room with rain outside.
Both my boys are congested. I wish I could snap my fingers and
make all that snot go away.

Sunday
K's having trouble falling and staying asleep. Please say a prayer for him.
This morning Austin & I got up and had breakfast.
We watched cartoons.
We read books.
We picked up air filters at Home Depot.
We ran around at the park
We went to church.
Go here & listen to the message. It was a great one today.
Austin made a picture at church. He gave it to me as we were walking out and he said, "Blue. Heart!" He described his picture!
We had soup for lunch.
Now the boys are taking a nap.

So...
Austin and I went to a Bama birthday party Saturday.
We've been going to this church and we like it. You might remember our delimma here. They keep it simple and we like that.
I have one more school left with the smudges program and the Wiregrass Museum of Art. It's the school I went to when I was in 3rd grade.
Some days I think teaching high school art is going well and some days I don't. The teacher left everything in a mess & I'm trying to pick it up and make it better.
Austin woke up at 5:45a.m. this morning. Boo to time change.

The Future
So...
We lived in TX for 9 years with great talent and things to do at our fingertips...
Things here where we live now aren't really up to our expectations.
We talk about that a lot.
But we also think our decisions lead us to other things in life....mostly good things.
For example:
Before K & I got married he interviewed for a position at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
He got it, but I needed a job.
I got a job in their children's ministry.
It stunk.
I quit.
I got a job at a scrapbook store & applied for DallasISD's teacher certification.
I got it! I passed my tests! I got a job teaching!
I taught for 4 years.
Teaching for 4 years got me to this job I will start on Friday.
And hopefully all of my past experiences will lead me to something even greater next year.
Having a stinky job at Prestonwood lead me to have an AWESOME job in Dallas. Sometimes bad things lead to good things...at least that's been our experience.

Oh my.
Did I mention the Sunday a few months ago where we showed up to pick up our son in the nursery and they said, "We can't find him."
Cue our knees going weak.
Cue mad chaos in my mind.
Looking on to the playground. Looking in closets. Looking in classrooms.
Praying he didn't walk outside.
This is where my baby is supposed to be safe and learning about Jesus.
Guess where he was.
UPSTAIRS.
MY 1 YEAR OLD WAS UPSTAIRS ALL BY HIMSELF.
HE WALKED UP 2 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS ALL BY HIMSELF.
And now I have a trust issue.
Wouldn't you?
And then there was this problem. Sigh.

Wet & Wild
I left A's car seat in the carport last night. We woke up to rain this morning and around 9a.m. I remembered it was out there getting wet. I brought it in, wiped it off and put it ontop of one of our vents. Mama was not happy.
We had to get out of the house around 11. A would have no more of playing in this house. Wet carseat - with towels - we loaded up and dropped off the recycling. We headed to the ROC to run off some energy. I brought his zebra (pictures to come) and thought he would ride it on the walking track.
He did!
It was fun!
And then he didn't want to play with anymore balls so we went outside and rode the zebra all over our church's parking lot.
It's the little things.

I had a headache most of the day today left over from Monday's angry migraine.
We took the recycling to Westgate.
We paid for A's School.
We shopped at Kohl's...Thanks for the $10.
We weathered a bad, loud, lightening thunderstorm
We got ready for church.
We did the announcements on video for church Sunday (did we really just do that?)
We watched people young and old get baptized.
We ate a few bites of homemade ice cream and chased A around the Fellowship Center.
We watched Big Brother.
And the good news is...

A got kicked out of Sunday School this morning.
He was pushing.
They actually brought him to us.
And he spilled his juice on the guy who brought him. Ha.
Hopefully this will be a short phase.
Looks like we'll be spending our time in the nursery with him.
At least now we won't be afraid of him running away.

Sunday night I dropped you off at the church nursery. During the flurry of making you a name tag, putting your bag up, handing you your juice, and making sure the door was locked you looked up at me with tears in your eyes. Your mouth was pouty. You reached up for me. You didn't want me to leave. If the trustworthy little lady didn't wisk you away about to feed you Bugles, I probably would've taken you with me. I love you little, Buddy. You will always be mine.
