The one with a bumpy road.

My mentoring has been bumpy the past couple of weeks.  T's family has been going through some things - loss of a dear friend - and it probably puts an emotional strain on everything.  T hasn't been wanting to do the things we expect her to do.  She has been wanting to do things HER way.  EEK.  I mentor T today and hoping/praying it goes well!  This is something I should look forward to!

A and I went to recycling and then walked around the Botannical Gardens.  It was a pretty day to walk around and look at the flowers, veggies, fountains, woods, and pond.

About us.

1. A slept over at his Lecee & G's house last night. 

2. This morning he had sick eyes.

3. We went to Sam's and PetSmart with Lecee this morning.

4. It wore A out and he took a nap in his Elmo PJ's.

5. A woke up and we took 2 boxes to the thrift store and bought A an Elmo chair which needs to be washed.

6. Camp ROC was not so good today.  There was a major meltdown meaning T had to go home.  Sheesh.

7. Dinner was great. We ate outside on our back deck for the first time - we lit candles, moved the high chair out & had spinach salad with tomatoes, avacados, and italian dressing & Annie's mac & cheese. 

8. A likes avacado and mac & cheese.

9. We went to the library after dinner and I got a Nicholas Sparks book & K got one about Judo. We saw pictures of the new libraries they will build soon. Yay!

10. Little Man was tired.  He had an oozing nose and eye so he got a shower, pj's and early bed with the humidifier going.  Dr. for him tomorrow.

Praying for 4.

Yesterday 2 brothers who go to CAMP ROC found their mom unresponsive on the floor at their house.  3rd grader, 2nd grader, and a 4 year old...and mom isn't doing well.  Please pray for these boys and their mom.

We got him a Farm Touch & Feel book this weekend.

We love Goodwill Book stores.

The poor horse may not have anymore hair soon.

We're practicing how be gentle.

I let T from Camp ROC pick out gifts for her family at Big Lots.

She got a present for herself, big sister, mom and grandma.

We wrapped them, and she was so excited to have 4 presents when she got home.

We are looking at renting a house, townhouse or apartment.

Hoping our house sells soon in TX. 

Excited about going to Austin next week.

My little T sang in the Christmas musical Sunday night.  She's standing tall at the top with her hands in her pockets just like I would.  Good job, T!

The one about T.

So i'm mentoring a girl named T on Tuesdays after school at church. T is 6 and she's in 1st grade. I asked her if it was ok if I brought her lunch sometime to her school. She asked if I could come to her house before she gets on the bus so she could have it in her lunch box.

This week T and I were in the room and she was painting a picture of a flower. She obviously got bored with what she was doing and started painting her face. It was just water but then she stuck her brush in the orange paint and painted most of her face orange. She made me laugh out loud.
