He's 3!

A woke up today a 3 year old!
I made him breakfast - milk, bananas and a surprise doughnut (that he didn't eat)
He had balloons waiting for him & lots of hugs and kisses.
We got ready for school in time, Lecee came with us for pictures and walk to school.
He walked in with his friends Sara & Ella.
He was  so excited to see his teacher and classroom.
I think he kind of looked at me thinking, "You're leaving me?" but that was only a split second because he saw a jar of M&M's and asked his teacher if he could have some.
I picked him up in the car line and he was sweaty & happy.  He immediatly took off his shoes and we headed home for birthday lunch with Ian.  He also tt'd in the potty. Yay!
He ate a small lunch, played and watched The Jungle Book Movie with Ian.  He took a much needed nap then opened presents from my parents and we ate dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  They gave us free cake & ice cream (that he didn't eat).  Dad gave him a bath and now he's in bed.  It's been a great day!

Hello Summer.

Our first day of summer was Thursday.  Austin's last day of school was Wednesday.  He brought cookies and hugs to share with his friends.  We celebrated our first day of summer by eating at Krispy Kreme, getting a watermelon at Walmart, riding in Uncle Wayne's big truck, and not taking a nap.

 

We've spent a lot of time together.  This is our normal and with this newness comes frustration.  Let's just face it - I am a pregnant single mom.  I am in charge.

My other half has left and thinks it's purely ok to see his son for two hours at a time.

Frustrated - yes!  But trying to focus on teaching and loving and mothering this sweet little boy everyday - yes!!

I also set up our trainset from IKEA,  put up black out drapes in A's room, & watched as a lady blew Austin a kiss from the motorcycle nearby.

 

 

Atlanta

This weekend wasn't all that great.
I went to a marriage conference with my spouse who is about 5% into our marriage.
It was hard to watch other couples in love.
It was hard listening to what a great marriage looks like when you aren't sure of your future.

On a brighter note
We ate at Jason's Deli Saturday night

We both got California Clubs with fruit & fruit dip.
It was yummy!

And it was good to come home to my buddy.
Who had a great weekend at the beach
And has recovered from Strep. Wahoo!

Well Well

We thought we were on the upswing of sickness then I got a call Monday that Austin got sick during naptime.  I picked him up and called the dr.  Austin was hungry, but looked pale.  We came home, ate, watched A Horton Hears A Who, then went to the dr. 

He's fine.

Just like his Mama, sometimes our tummies do not like hotdogs.  Lay off the hotdogs.

We called G this morning and sang happy birthday.
All is well.

Spring Break 2013

K and I celebrated his spring break by going to the beach.  A got to stay with his Lecee & G.

Tuesday we had a picnic dinner on the beach and I found some shells.

Wednesday I spent the afternoon with Aunt Darlyne and K got to play at a very nice golf course.  We had lunch and got our nails done then went out to eat with our boys.  YUM!  It was a fun day!  We ate at Fatty Patty's for Lunch and Saltwater Grill for Dinner.

Thursday we didn't do much of anything.  We ordered breakfast from Fatty Patty's then ordered dinner from Billy's and watched basketball in between.

Friday we got up and drove to Destin to get K fitted for a tux.  I tried on some dresses, too.

Then we drove home & got to see our little guy!

We missed him so much, but enjoyed sleeping late.

 

 

Happy Tuesday

Austin's doing better at listening these days.  He's also being sweet at school this week.  Before school we always talk about listening to your teachers, sweet hands, sweet feet.  Stay with your teacher.  This afternoon we played outside because the weather was awesome.  He held my hand and we walked down the street and back to our house.  I like holding his hand and he likes holding mine.  He had to sit on the step because he went into the street instead of playing in the yard.  We have a crazy old man who drives fast on our street like it's NASCAR:(   Lecee came to visit and he wanted to sit in her car so they left.  Hoping Keith and I can get some yummy dinner somewhere...if he'll just come on home!

Updated to add:  I ate a yummy burger at Five Guys tonight with Keith.  Thank you morning sickness for easing up so I could chow down at dinner.  It was good!

She didn't notice it at all.

I'll be 8 weeks on Friday.

Lately

Happy Monday!

 

It's raining today.

We're having potato soup for dinner.

We had life group last night.

Keith ate himself silly with hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill.

We also shared a piece of homemade cheesecake & listened to stories.

Austin took a long Sunday nap.

I had to go in his room and get him up to take him to Lecee's before LifeGroup.

He was awake and laying down.

He slept late this morning, too.

I think he likes sleeping in a dark room with rain outside.

Both my boys are congested.  I wish I could snap my fingers and

make all that snot go away.

 

 

 

 

Ready to buy?

Thank you, Jesus we sold our house in TX around this time last year.  It was  good house & we miss it.

My grandmother's house is in the Garden District where we live & it's move in ready & priced to sell.  It's a great location & looking at houses around here this one has lots more updates.

New Years Eve 2012

K & I went to my parents house to exchange gifts.  We got some fun things.  Austin spent the night with them & we picked up salads from Longhorn Steakhouse.  While we were eating we watched 3 episodes of House Hunters, some boxing on HBO, and watched Hong Kong and Sydney ring in the New Year.

Since we were childless and dogless our house was quiet and I slept late!!  K snuck away to hit golf balls while I was sleeping and then met up to eat New Years Lunch at my parent's house.

Today I'm taking a day off.

and bought Christmas presents.

and get some things done.

Hopefully I can find somewhere new

to work after the holidays.

Something with less stress,

no cops, no panic buttons, no referrals.

Just happy.
