His first sentence.

K likes to stay in bed a few minutes later on Saturday mornings.  Austin likes to go in there when K's laying down and say, "Hey."  This morning when it was time for breakfast Austin said, "No! Dada! That way!"  And of course K had to get up.

This morning after breakfast cartoons we made a craft with sticky stars.  He did a really great job & we talked about the colors.  He LOVES saying blue and practiced yellow, black, red, white & brown.

Drove to Montgomery.
Visited Fresh Market - wish we had one here.
Got a yogurt parfait & drink from Chappy's.
Read Nicholas Sparks' book in the car waiting for my test.
Took my test. **don't know my scores yet**
Drove straight home because I missed my boys.

Some things in 2012.

2012 was a doozy of a year.

I'd have to say a lot of 2012 was frustrating.

We had a lot of change - new city, new church, new house, new toddler, new job

I'd say with change comes frustration then acceptance then peace.

I think I'm at the acceptance place now.

A few months back I was begging to get out of this rental house.  It's so old and terribly laid out, but we can't find a better place to live.  That's that. (I would like to kick the man who decided to put the laundry room outside in the garage storage space. It's not like he's going to do the laundry anyway.)

I've accepted that I may not teach art ever again, but I'm not sure what's next for me as far as a job.

I've accepted the fact that if God really wants us here then He has a plan for us and will show us that plan soon.

So here are some things I will be doing in 2013:

Praying more
Focusing on the positive
Be a better wife
Be a better mom

So next year when I write about 2013, frustrating won't be my word...It's our 7 year anniversary coming up.  Isn't 7 God's number?  And Austin...he's turning 3.  Isn't 3 better than 2?  Oh yes 2013 will be good to us.

Wednesday

Frustrated? Yep.

Kind of wishing I was still teaching in Dallas.  That was going well.  I was good at that.

Sometimes I think things are fine...and then they aren't.

Cuh-ray-zee

Whoa.

My morning has been crazy.
Crazy busy.

I have scheduled almost all of my 3rd grade classes for an art lesson.  October looks pretty full!
November is looking full, too!  You can find out more about it here.  It's called Smudges.

We had Annie's Mac&Cheese, corn on the cob, zucchini, and cornbread for dinner.
A had mac&cheese, corn, grapes and milk.
Our smoke alarm went off when I was cooking.  That was fun.

We are using lots of cardboard for Arty Pants on Friday.
Necklaces, pumpkins, fall trees

Happy Monday!

Wednesday

This morning I treated myself to a Skinny Vanilla Latte & a blueberry muffin at Starbucks in Target.
I also got a sparkly tank top on sale.
I got things ready for Arty Pants.
I hope little ones and their parents come because we have cute things to make!
A & I went to the playground for a few minutes after MMO because the weather is so nice.
Hoping  for a good nap for him then it's church time.
Looking forward the the Finale of Big Brother 14 tonight!

Yesterday I turned in my paperwork to get certified in AL.
I also applied for a job, but that's nothing new.
I've applied for many 'o job in my town's school system and nothing.
Crickets. Beuller.
Hello? Don't they know I was a fun, great art teacher who loves teaching? Hello? Anybody?
Yeah...We'll see.

ABC's

We're keeping it simple around here.
No need to write on paper because eventually he will rip it up.
And what to do with it when we are done? Recycle?
Writing on the highchair tray with crayons works for us.
We did our letter sounds all the way to P.
Then we wipe it off.
Good job Little A!

Colors

Little Man is soaking everything in.
We are working on colors lately.
I used a James Avery catalog for the 'blue' collage.
He would say 'ball' when he saw the beads.
Lots of help and lots of prep
But it's worth it because he's learning!

Life in a small town

I never thought it would be this hard to find and get a job.

I hand delivered my resume to a couple of schools today.

Had a LONG conversation with hubby last night about the future.

Praying something will work out.
