The one about red dye.

Our first weekend here we celebrated A's first birthday. He's one!

One!

Oh my.

I made cupcakes the night before. Lots of vanilla with sprinkles. Lots of chocolate.

They were yummy.

We let A have one Saturday. He didn't like it. He kept rubbing his eye. I and Lindsey noticed his face getting red and his lip was huge.

Holy cow.

We decided to go to the ER. They gave him benadryl and told us to take him to his pediatrician soon. Everything went away except for that fat lip. He had that until that night he went to sleep.

So the plan for this week is to take him to find a new pediatrician and take him to his 12 month checkup. Dr. at the ER said he could be allergic to red dye, but it could be a lot of other things as well...peanuts, eggs, who knows. Hopefully it was just a fluke.
